Aspects of the behavioural ecology of three medium- sized canids Canis mesomelas, Otocyon megabits and Vulpes chama, occurring in the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, are discussed. The good visibility in the study area facilitates visual observation of these mammals and studies on their socioecology are continuing.
